Astrological Happenings, January 2009

January 2009.... Happy New Year! In numerology, 2009 is represented as an 11 year, and this year is also related to the 11th astrological house of inspirations, humanitarians, social organizations, friends, and visions of the future. I personally relate much of the 11:11 hype to this particular year, and believe that we should be asking ourselves as to how will our maturation and goals for 2009 will assist our reputation in the world (or in our local community), and benefit another too? This is a beautiful year of spirituality and self-empowerment, and a time to release old worn-out attitudes and negative behaviors - to spread our wings - to become the 'bigger and better' person. We should be thinking more about re-connecting with others, and becoming one. In 2009, some of us could experience a drastic change in our personality, craving the desire to act on generosity, sharing kindness and compassion... as a way to gain inner peace and a belonging with the outside world again. It is a year of self-discovery and self-sacrifice, to simultaneously experience a death and a rebirth in our renewal of hope and faith. The time is now right, for each of us to rise ABOVE ourselves this year, and to be the change the we want to see in the world.

This brand new year starts with new moon energy rising in responsible Capricorn, which brings us a satisfied feeling, as we have recently focused on providing for others during the past few weeks, and we can now create a more stable environment for ourselves. We may begin to feel a need for seclusion, keeping thoughts (and possibly ourselves) out of the limelight, to hibernate on professional goals and on personal development. We may require less time on emotions and relationships, simply to recharge our batteries with peace and quiet now. On 01/01, Mercury enters freedom fighter Aquarius for the next few weeks, to help us find a solution or different approach to conquer roadblocks in our lives. Any new direction will inspire creativity, which will aid in our attempt to jump oncoming hurdles in the future. We could be experimenting with exciting dimensions in work methods, realizing that a new attitude could benefit us during the storms. We could also be analyzing ourselves in partnerships, while bringing in new friends or new techniques to escape any existing boredom. Others may possibly reach further, and develop a totally new relationship.

Venus enters dreamy Pisces on 01/03 for the next few weeks, and we could get stuck (or possibly lazy) in just the idea of the dream, and put off the hard work of chasing the dream. Whatever is easy, with no real effort, can really influence decisions at this time, which can be quite risky, depending on your work load, or your unstable relationship. Utilize your imagination by doing some serious brainstorming, in order to find new solutions, and to communicate your intentions with those involved. Adventurous Jupiter makes his yearly transit into Aquarius on 01/05, and gives us plenty of visualizations for tomorrow, along with the courage to experiment with our new strategies. We may feel more daring (or possibly careless) and just take brave steps into the unknown, helping us to cross paths with hidden opportunities, but also to enrich our self-confidence. This is an exciting month to dream, to believe in magic, while having a realistic attitude about our involved work. Write down a plan of action and the steps needed to reach the target. A luminous full moon in intuitive Cancer reveals special knowledge or signs that confirms our motivation and direction! On 01/11, chatty Mercury goes retrograde for a few weeks, and we may experience confusion with our course, or possibly doubting our objective. Fax machines and computers may go bonkers, messages and voice-mails may get delayed, possibly lost, and this whirlwind of scattered energy can also create misunderstandings. Double check all forms of communication, and be sure to prioritize thoughts, and take notes to stay on track.

Confident Sun enters Aquarius on 01/19, empowering our ability to stretch ourselves beyond any limitations. We continue to make our advances in life, one day at a time, without allowing any outside influences to get in our way. Solitude, or distancing ourselves from others is very possible. These vibrations are truly focused on each of our paths as individuals. If relationships are sensitive or shaky, an emotional shutdown is likely. During this month's Mercury retrograde, confusion gets a bit more tipsy as he lands in Capricorn on 01/21. We could be worrying more than usual, which will have us to nervous to take the plunge to move forward. We must do our homework and find proven facts to keep our heads clear and focused. Lazy Venus opposes Saturn on 01/24, and if we don't do our research to work through uncertainties, expect to suffer some sort of consequence.

A new moon rises on 01/26 in quirky Aquarius, while a powerful Solar Eclipse energizes our intentions for the next six months, so make thoughts GOOD thoughts, and activate these sparkling ideas into a plan of action!

Astrological Happenings, December 2008

Starcana.com Astrological Happenings for DECEMBER 2008, we find our hearts galloping and energized from last month's New Moon in Sagittarius. We'll experience passion and excitement during the next few weeks, along with speed and accidental 'wrong turns' in the direction of our goals - thanks to Uranus turning direct within the last few days. Be sure to take some deep breaths, to slow down impulsive actions at this time. Transformative Pluto left Sagittarius after 12 interesting years, and entered Capricorn on 11/26, which help to gain perspective and organization to reach our goals. It is a joyous time to celebrate our personal experiences and growth from hard lessons learned, while sharing our stories with friends and family. Use creativity and imagination to overcome any detours, to enjoy a smoother ride for 2009.

As needy Venus sits beside giving Jupiter 12/1, we find ourselves over-doing our actions now, from over-shopping, over-eating, over-drinking, over-working,and so on. Find time to calm the mind with meditation or some old-fashioned quiet time. Then in the next few days, Venus enters independent Aquarius on 12/7, and our individual desires and needs might be craving spontaneity for the next few weeks - forcing us to take totally different steps to figure out what we really want. And while it's okay be a little selfish now and then, just be sure to let loved ones know your intentions, to avoid some major misunderstandings. Bossy Sun squares Uranus on 12/10, and we will be totally focused on getting our way. Be kind to those who cross your path. Whether these steps are from deep determination or from sheer spite, expect to either be bulldozed over from oncoming individuals, or possibly yourself bulldozing those who get in the way. Slow down and plan accordingly during this pushy time, wear your seat-belts, and be sure to have car brakes inspected.

Chatty Mercury enters Capricorn, and minds are focused on wise investments for more beneficial outcomes. Practical Christmas gifts may be on the agenda at this time as well, rather than the latest gadget or fashion trend. On 12/12, agitated egotistical Mars feels entitled to be in the spotlight, and rudely clashes head-on with unconventional Uranus. This energy could have us feeling controlled or pushed into a corner - and possibly angry and defensive. Someone could also be looking to vent in a major way. Communication is more than likely, not expressed clearly - and could very well accelerate the situation. Use patience and caution on this day. Read the directions, or look both ways before crossing traffic. Ground any surplus of energy with stress-management activities like yoga, meditation, or just taking a long walk with your ipod and favorite music. Take a hat or umbrella, as weather could also be overactive and forceful. The Full Moon is a bit gentler as she rests in earthy Capricorn on 12/12. With good preparation from earlier weeks of effort (and no temper tantrums), timing could provide us with a happier experiences with closer steps to reaching projected goals, or possible success.

Emotional, promotional, or financial expectations, along with enthusiasm may feel pretty stifled on 12/15, as self-absorbed Mars confronts grumpy Saturn. Release frustrations around this time, and don't jump to conclusions - as this is a chance to exhibit patience and teamwork, and creatively putting everything in order. Challenges deliver us opportunities , to be careful of what we are wishing for. Watch out for road rage behavior at this time, or unexpected confrontations. These uncontrollable cosmic vibrations should finally begin to settle down around the Winter Solstice on 12/21, as the Sun also enters business-minded Capricorn. This free horoscope from www.starcana.com suggests that we should be feeling good about what we have worked and accomplished so far, so that we can relax and turn our interests toward helping and giving to others. As the energy and excitement of Hanukkah and Christmas nears.. Mercury sextiles Uranus on 12/24, and releases magical energy into the air, where holiday scrooges could surprise others with a last minute gift! The Moon also enters Sagittarius, giving us permission to allow other people into our homes and hearts. Look your best, as you never know who you might meet! Everything and everyone will be expressing generously, which could surprise us all with more gifts, more friends, more family, as well as more food, more drink, and more opinions. Curb thy tongue, and let opinions go in one ear, and out the other.

2008 closes with competitive Mars in Capricorn, and the New Moon in Capricorn. Positive energy to launch the new year with realistic goals, in both personal and professional areas of our lives. A quiet, somber mood could take place on New Year's Eve, as over-worked Saturn turns retrograde. The Moon in Aquarius dares us to be different from the rest. Celebrations could be quieter, with an earlier sleep schedule, as New Year resolutions are restructured, living life more responsibly. Please be safe, and don't drink and drive - and may 2009 deliver, what you put into it!

Happy New Year!

Starcana TAROTSCOPE - December 2008

The *One Card Message* for December 2008 - comes from Five of Wands which suggests that everything will be active as well as over-active for the coming weeks. We will have no idea where we're coming, or where we'll be going - if we don't take the necessary time to stabilize our actions with an orderly plan. Our old attitudes and old ways will be challenged, forcing us to change, to revamp what is working for us, and to remove what isn't working anymore. Frustrations and impatience will be overwhelming during this month, possibly making us feel like we need to work 'faster and harder' to achieve our emotional or financial goals. Resentments, anger, and fear could also rise, making us defensive of our vulnerable emotions and intentions. Choose quality, over quantity at this time.
As the season changes, from Autumn to Winter, change in our life is also inevitable right now. While change can be frightening for some, it can also be quite exciting. It is important to feel adventurous with strength and courage, and simply follow the wind to take direction. It is a time to stop fighting the current, in order to relax, to exhale, and to digest the coming opportunities that are drifting our way. Tackle one project at a time, with one emotion at a time. Cross it off your list of to do, and feel the burden lift. Allow each step, each failure, each doubt, to intuitively steer you in the right direction toward success, for the growth of your own soul. Allow this spark to mold and transform your ego and confidence, into an ever-lasting light of spirit.

Astrological Opinion - Obama vs McCain

In regards to some of the questions that I have personally received about your Obama versus McCain questions, along with my views, I just thought that I would gather my thoughts and write something for everyone, from the presidential race, Obama's grandmother a passing, and those who claim it was just another trick up Obama's sleeve to win votes.

I'm not studied in politics, so this is simply my own humble opinion. First, Obama doesn't need to "fake a strategy" to win. He beat Scorpion Hilary Clinton (who was my personal democratic preference). He also had already won a big chunk of influential votes.... ALL before the passing of his grand mother.

In a very GENER AL astrological explanation - Obama has tons of Leo planets to gain natural attraction and popularity - just like Madonna, Jennifer Lopez , Mick Jagger, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Redford, Hulk Hogan , Robert Deniro, along with our past president Bill Clinton! Leo's pride themselves on leadership, honor, and strength. They also stand out and grab people's attention, whether they want to, or not. Obama's natural gift of speech and intellect comes from his clever Gemini Moon ( Mercury aka communications).

With the challenging comments and attitudes regarding Obama, with his color, race, background , experience, etc, I have this to add: As transformational Pluto slowly exits Sagittarius, and enters toward into Capricorn... a very important lesson for us all to learn, is to use our gained wisdom and knowledge to make choices, rather than using personal assumptions and harsh judgments - for our own personal convenience.

As an example, certain individuals feel that only a white person should have a chance at the presidential status, and not a Black man, nor a Muslim. Their attitude is that in order to run the country in the right direction, you must be Male.... with a religious Christian/Catholic background, with a good head for business. These qualifications are obviously out-dated, and have failed the test and our country - since Bush is a male, he's white, he's a business man, and he's a religious Christian. He supposedly met all the  conditions required, and he managed to hurt all our American citizens, American businesses, American families, along with hurting the rest of the world who depend on our country.

We, the American people, ALL have the freedom to pursue our own ideas of American dream. The real beauty of the United States, is that it is filled with a beautiful mixture of Caucasians , African- Americans, Muslim- Americans, Latin - Americans, Asian - Americans. Italian- Ameri cans, German- Americans, Indian- Americans, Mexican- Americans, and etc. Together, we are all One. Each of make America what it is.

So if an American (he OR she) is black, white, yellow, red) has worked responsibly to obtain the necessary years of education, along with the years of experience, and sacrifices to reach their goals - the rewards are there for the taking, despite color, race, age, etc. Obama grew up black , in a white world. He was also raised by a single mom. He knows what hardships are about, and what life is like for those who are less fortunate. I personally admire his hard work and effort to graduate at the top of his class in Harvard. My friend just informed me (since I am not trained in politics) that he also was the first ever African-American, to be voted to be president at Harvard. Whether Caucasian, African-American, Indonesian, Muslim... who cares! THAT kind of achievement and drive deserves supreme credit and a grand applause!
But again, with Pluto lessons in the philosopher Sagittarius, as well as Spiritual Pisces in Logical Aquarius - we are to look past a person's shell (their skin and attached misfortunes) - and instead, look into their heart and their intention.

So today, we have big frustrations happening in the Universe, which of course, is interesting on an important day like today! A MAJOR 'Tug-of-War' is going on between Saturn ( Mr. Traditional) who opposes Uranus (Mr. Change). This will have many asking... Should we continue with old-fashioned and out-of date paper and pencil (because it's safe), or should we dare to stray into the unknown, toward change with the future of technology (because change represents growth)?  Same difference with the presidential race - Republican or Democratic? Black or White? Old or New?

As an optimistic Sagittarius (yes, we always see the glass half full), I am personally leaning towards change for the future myself... with a Democratic win. But as we all know, in any game - long- lasting strength and stamina is a must! So I believe it will be a unique day, and interestingly close between the two parties. It's hard to actually say which way it will end up though, because despite his age, McCain is quite capable of determination and grit! I have a very high respect for the honorable John McCain and what he stands for, but again, I believe change is inevitable. But Uranus is wild and freaky at times, and he's use to surprising us when we least expect it, so I'd say it won't be over until the fat lady sings!!!

So with this, I say - May the "BEST Man for the Job" win...  because our children will depend on him, America will depend on him, as will the rest of the world.

It's gonna be an interesting night... time to make the coffee.

Astrological Happenings

Starcana Horoscope
Free Monthly Horoscope for November 2008 starts the month with a New Moon in passionate Scorpio, with tiny emotional seeds planted - with a new determination to finally release "what's not working anymore" - in order to find ourselves. The next few weeks can either be very pleasurable, or very disturbing - which will all depend on our attitude about letting go of old influences and old attitudes. This is all about cutting the cord, and removing the burden - to finally move forward.

On 11/02 Daylight Saving Time ends, and sleepy Neptune finally turns direct after 6 stifling months, allowing the flow of our emotions and creativity, to stir inspirations and dreams once again. Party on! Venus squares Saturn on 11/03 and we could find ourselves struggling with 'what we want' and 'the amount of work involved' to get what we want. Expect frustrations and denial to rise when the going gets tough!

And if the week couldn't get any better - inner conflicts rise quickly as Mercury enters Scorpio on 11/04, as some of us may be seriously considering quick and easy options to upgrade our life, or situations. We will also experience the powerful energy of traditional Saturn opposing alternative Uranus. We could break an ongoing trend or attitude to find our way. Use good judgement before any action takes place during this time. This energy will have a ton of tension tugging away on each end, 'to do' or 'not to do'.

Then with this historical event happening in the presidential votes... we experience, traditional and old-fashioned Saturn, representing McCain and the republican party, verses the alternative change of Uranus, Obama and the democrat party. I personally feel that the electrical current will be energizing a strong change for the future. Especially with Mars and the Sun sitting in Scorpio, also influencing an aggressive push for movement - but may the 'best man' for the job win.

On 11/10, the vibrant Sun sextiles optimistic Jupiter, and trines outrageous Uranus - and we could be feeling extremely positive and confident, with a smile from ear to ear. This is a powerful day to reach out to important contacts, who could benefit us both personally and professionally. Be bold, take smart chances, and reach for the stars! Venus then enters mountain-climbing Capricorn, conjuncting power-driven Pluto on 11/12, boosting responsibility and effort, to possibly upgrade your position in your life plans. Dress to impress! The Full Moon arrives on 11/13 and rises with plentiful Taurus, grounding our ideas and thoughts with another shot of luck that seems to come out of nowhere. The wheels start turning as Jupiter teams up with Uranus. Continue to work through doubts and fears, as you could feel like efforts may be a waste of time when the Sun and Neptune square later on this day. Time will pass, so stay motivated.

If you have been slacking on going after your goals, you may get a burst of energy around 11/16 as steamrolling Mars enters risk-taking Sagittarius. Most of us will find ourselves challenging our own efforts, and trying harder now. Work hard, make smart decisions, and be sure to get proper rest. On 11/17 Mercury squares Neptune and we could begin procrastinating again and getting off course. This is why proper rest is encouraged. Later in the week, on 11/21, Powerful Sun also enters adventurous Sagittarius, allowing creative thoughts and optimism to guide us on our journey. Enlightenment arrives, as spiritual Jupiter trines responsible Saturn - and have you reaping what you have sown. (Hope you've been a lot less naughty, and a lot more nice for the past few months!)

On 11/23, we will also have Mercury joining the Sagittarian party, and we will enjoy having more friends and family around us. We Sagittarian's enjoy the old saying, 'the more the merrier!'. All work and no play could stifle the creativity. All of this busy movement in the planets, will help us along on our journey... if moving forward is part of your goal. If we haven't let go of the necessary burdens that have been weighing us down on our goals, fatigue and frustration may set in. Gently peel away the layers of mold in your life, from certain individuals who stunt your growth, to old attitudes or resentments that keep you focused on memories, rather than on the future.

On 11/26, transformational Pluto finally packs his bags after 12 years in Sagittarius, and finds a new place to decay - as he lands in Capricorn for the next 15 years. Pluto's motion offers a good kick in the pants to those who need it, and offers reconstruction of one's weaknesses - which will come with a heavy price, if you want to enjoy the rewards at the end of the rainbow. Always remember, that underneath all the challenges of change - lies opportunities for growth.

On Thanksgiving Day 11/27, we have a New Moon in motivating Sagittarius, and you will need to be your own life coach for the next few weeks. Communicate your fears and goals with yourself, and at the same time - be a good listener! Sagittarius' New Moon energy provides us with generous gifts of spirit, inspiration, laughter, and growth - if we choose to fly higher than the rest, pursuing love and happiness.

Give thanks, and share your blessings with family, friends, and those less fortunate. Be gracious and show gratitude for all that you have. Be grateful for life's hard lessons that you have experienced, and the gifts (both good and bad) that you have received during the process. Respect the Universe - as what you have sown - you have received. Appreciate your wisdom, and be thankful for your blessings.

Free-spirited Uranus also makes a major direct move today - after 5 stale months of the unknown. Expect the unknown to shatter, and have you plunging into making some serious future decisions. This positive change forces a long overdue situation to shift, allowing us to finally exhale, and chase the life again. By making the right choices during these busy weeks in November, we could REALLY feel like today is the first day of the rest of our life! Enjoy! And keep on smiling!

Starcana Tarotscope
One Card Message for November - comes from the powerful Magician, who suggests that what we seek, we already have. Trust what you know, and who you are at this time, rather than following the crowd. Use precious time to learn more about yourself, to know what you want in your life, and what you will need to do - to achieve it. Research educational writings, feed the brain with knowledge, and listen to wisdom from past failures. You are your thoughts... and what you believe, will happen.

Use these weeks in November to remove overpowering negativity from your personal space. Communicate your goals with the Universe, with yourself, and with those who matter. (Those who matter won't mind what you are doing for yourself, and those who mind won't matter.) Choosing to grow is personal decision and a sign of mature responsibility, for any age. You are separating yourself from the normal crowd, and growing as a responsible individual. Those who choose to stunt our growth with unjust behavior and negative opinions, will be limited from our time, or simply left behind. We are in control of our life, and creating the world that we want, and choosing who will join us for the ride. From this point, we can only move forward now - and relish in the rewards of healing; body, mind, and spirit.

Know realistically, what you want and can have in your life tomorrow. Cut the cord from emotional attachments (whether favorable or unfavorable) to figure out if what you are holding onto, and if it (or he/she) benefits your development to achieve happiness - or if it (or he/she) distracts you from your goal, and hinders your progress.

Tomorrow's excitement of enchantment and brilliance is sitting in your hands. Are you ready to create it?

Happy Birthday Scorpio!
Born October 23 - November 21.... Scorpio is the sign of the scorpion. They are magnetic, forceful, sexual, and Spiritual. Once you have been stung by a scorpion...it's hard to get them out of your skin. These original interpretations from www.starcana.com let you know that the Scorpions are incredibly passionate, persistent, and intense. This sign is ruled by Pluto, the planet of transformations and regenerative forces in life. Scorpio is a female water sign and is fixed, which creates a very determined person with great power. The Water element of their strong emotions runs deep and powerful. Some Scorpions are known for being terribly secretive, insanely jealous, or even violent. Often at times, they might seem as if they are impassive or unapproachable but their obsessive emotions, like the tides of the ocean, come at you in full force. They also love a good mystery, so the less you reveal about yourself, the more they will be inclined to try and figure you out. Their best color is black for letting go. The sign of the Scorpion rules the bladder and the genitals, which can make them prone to venereal diseases and bladder infections.

What's New! in November
In light of my November horoscope - life is truly what we make of it - and I am pretty content with what I have created. Is there room for improvement? Oh....of course there is! Geez, if everything was picture perfect in my life, I would get totally bored and restless. I've been active with my personal life, as well as with my professional life. Other than my website and phone readings - my metaphysical business has been keeping me busy with fair readings, along with Halloween tarot parties. It's been a blast and I have been experiencing a lot of fun! I enjoy meeting new people, and while helping them, I also get to share some laughter, some tears, and a cool connection. I've tried expanding my hours for those of you that have requested evening hours, but I doubt that my hours will continue this way, with as much as I have going on. ummm, can you say 'burning the candle at both ends'?

I've been so occupied, that I had to turn down a VERY cool invitation to do intuitive readings and experience supernatural activity in an old building in Connellsville PA. That would've been SO cool. I love all that paranormal stuff - especially since that is the very thing that got me started into all of this! And geez, if that wasn't bad enough, I didn't even get to really celebrate Halloween (my FAVORITE holiday!) and dress up this year - cause I was just too pooped out! I am definitely going to have to structure my time better and stick with it. And everyone knows how we Sagittarian's NEED our freedom for fun - in order to inspire any creativity! ::ugh::

So what did I do to celebrate Halloween, since I stayed home to recharge my batteries? I watched the sci-fi channel 'Ghost Hunters LIVE' as paranormal teams inspected old Delaware buildings for ghosts and other strange occurrences. Then exactly at midnight, I turned down the tv, lit a candle, and did a yearly reading for myself with a 12 month zodiac tarot spread! (How cool is that!?) LOL, yea, it doesn't take much to get me excite! But if you're interested in having your own yearly Zodiac Tarot spread done for 2009, you can request one when purchasing a "Wickedly Generous Email Reading".

(Oh, and speaking of hours - don't forget to adjust your clocks on November 1, 2008 as Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am).

I've also created some extra offers on my site, like reading specials, earning free minutes for a reading, a first time caller special, purchasing gift certificates, etc, all available on my Starcana Specials webpage.

Something else that is new, is that I have recently become a contributer to Curb Magazine, of Westmoreland County with my horoscope column 'Astrological Happenings'. How cool is that?

And during my entertainment performances, I had a cool headpiece created for my party costume - and being very pleased with Nessa's chain work, I wanted to share her artistic talent and metal chain website: Nessa's Leather & Chain for anyone who might be interested in their own design! Thank you again Nessa! :o)

Last... if you are interested in getting some insight about your life, relationship, or situation - try my service for 10 minutes on my local number, for only 20.00 (I accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover). My schedule is 10am-6pm est, Monday thru Friday. Call: 724-832-9283

OCTOBER puts us in charge with a New Moon in Libra, with seeds planted in finding peaceful attempts to relate with others again - personally and professionally. This gentle approach could find us struggling with our own individual needs when Pushy Mars entering Moody Scorpio on 10/04. If anyone is forcing an issue, things could get pretty ugly. It would be wise to put this burst of energy into something productive... as an exchange of words could be merciless, emphasizing power struggles. If handled in a mature fashion, everyone benefits on 09/05 when Venus sextiles Jupiter.

The Sun trines Neptune on 10/14, boosting our confidence to achieve dreams and goals. Look for small windows of opportunities as the Full Moon enters attention-grabbing Aries in the late afternoon. Make yourself seen during this time, as our energy and our surroundings are brilliant and magnified! Emotions and egos could also run high, and this may irritate others around us. Choose actions and words carefully.

Mercury turns direct on 10/15, allowing the flow of communications to move full speed ahead. This is a good time to check paperwork, sign agreements, open up in relationships, and to balance the checkbook. As Venus enters Sagittarius 10/18, we are thinking about how to get more personal space, and we may possibly decide to travel. Communicate what you are needing during this time - so no one important feels abandoned and left out.

Just as we finally feel like everything is under control, Magnificent Sun partners up with determined Pluto on 10/21. We should be feeling confident, and figure that it's all down hill from here. But the apple cart tips on 10/22, as Mr. Sun joins sneaky Scorpio, and we may be dealing with outside influences again. Prioritize future goals, to gain peace and emotional stability, as this period can help us to make a necessary change of direction - that better suits our needs. As we begin to sprout and experience new growth, some things will obviously need to be left behind, as we find ourselves walking away from whatever isn't working for us anymore. Make logical decisions at this time, as emotions are very powerful and tempting - especially as Mercury squares Jupiter. We may still try to hold onto everything, instead of letting go - stunting our growth.

By 10/28, the New Moon, Aggressive Mars, and "Take Charge" Sun will be seated near transformational Scorpio, planting new seeds in our lives to gain emotional security. Words and reactions could be more sharp and cold, as we forget about our losses, and focus on steps toward the future. During this inner cleanse, we could feel old wounds and fear, finally healing. Pursue a gracious act to erase stress and tense energy, as this will help to regain our power that was once lost. Reach out to those who you have lost touch with, or communicate with those that you could be walking away from. As this time is for healing, be sure to state crystal clear intentions and concise wording (verbally or written) before dropping the final curtain.

Celebrate Halloween and Trick or Treat on 10/31, Be safe, and Don't Drink and Drive!

Tarot Insight
This *One Card Message* for October - comes from The Ace of Wands which suggests that only time can heal, and that time changes everything. Just as the season is changing around us - we are also experiencing a change within ourselves. This is a time to think about ourselves, about achieving our own needs, our desires, and nothing else.

We are feeling more courageous, bold, and energized. No fears or stumbling blocks shall get in our way. We are doing what we must to keep this dream alive. Actions MUST be honest and honorable to get where we are going. Any dishonesty and deceit used during this time will take you on a much darker path. Our life is entering a new season, and intentions must be good and pure.

This month provides a change in direction as well as a new start. This month, we must take action on what must be done - to reach goals. For instance, whoever makes us shine because they WANT us to do well, we must cherish and bring them along with us. Whatever is working for us, we should continue with it, and enjoy the journey! And, whatever isn't working for us, it is time to let go. Whoever makes us doubt ourselves, because of their their own issues, we must let go.

It is time to let go of our thoughts and our feelings and to now take action. We are preparing ourselves for growth, to try a new way, and to take a chance... and nothing (or no one) is going to get in the way.

Free Monthly Horoscope - September Zodiac Birthday, Virgo

Free Monthly Horoscope, September Zodiac Birthday, Virgo

What's New
We're closing the doors of summer as we welcome the Fall Equinox in a few weeks. I've noticed the sun lowering earlier and darkness of the time. I've also enjoyed the cooler weather, especially in the evening. The poison ivy is blooming with red leaves and vines to start the season, along with a few other trees that have changed some of their color prematurely.

I've been busy with a number of things, and a big treat is performing card readings at Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, which has been going on for the past two weekends now. If you are from the local area,
and at the fair - feel free to stop by and say hi to me at the "So Sayeth the Soothsayer" booth. I've given away a few hugs to a few customers, and have gotten a few hugs back! Check out the Pittsburgh Renaissance website at: www.pgh-renfest.com

If you have a chance to look around the site, I've added some new things to the site - like I offer Gift Certificates that can be purchased so that you can offer someone you love a mystical reading, options to earn a free reading, or free minutes for those that have an account with my service. Also while prices are being spiked higher in the world today, I decided to add another price option to keep my service affordable. Check out my site for details at www.starcana.com

Last, my thoughts and prayers go out to those during the horrific visit from Gustav. His stay was not as catastrophic as Katrina, but I am sure that Gustav triggered many unwanted memories and pain from the past. If you would like to help the flood victims, please visit
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2007/impact/ for information and details about what we can do.

Astrological Happenings - Free Monthly Horoscope
© 1998-2008 Starcana Insight http://www.starcana.com All rights reserved.
We start this month of September to first say Happy Birthday to our Virgo friends! We have started this month with new seeds planted in our own personal growth and development. It's about who we are, how we represent ourselves, and what we own, to show our material or spiritual worth. Insecurities could arise as we start to take account for what we have used to help others, and what has (or has not) been replenished. Our own personal effort is recommended to pay attention right now to our own resources, and determine who we are, what we have, and what we need to do in order to grow as a happy individual. If we have been busy taking care of our own, we will than likely feel more secure and grounded during this time. On the other hand, if we have been procrastinating on our own spiritual or material inventory, we could find ourselves feeling shaky with nervous tension and sleepless nights - with no resolution in sight... causing us to disappear into hiding for self-examination.

On September 3, confident Sun conjuncts grumpy Saturn, and we could feel like our life choices and motives are being tested. If you have at least started your homework of taking care of yourself, then September 4 is a day that is charged with a powerful trine between the Sun's strength and lucky Jupiter, to help you to feel more excited and competent in reaching your goals! If you have procrastinated, then you could fell Saturn step on the brakes and scoot you out the car door, as he rewards the rest with a ride to the ice cream parlor! No pain, no gain. Maybe next time, you'll learn your lesson, and have everything taken care of. Otherwise, you get no treats.

On September 7, we could feel a bit more agitated, as some of us won't want to rely on lucky charms - as studious Mercury and impatient Mars squares optimistic Jupiter. Mars doesn't know how to sit still, and challenges any obstacle (or person) that gets in his way. Be careful of what is spoken during this period, as what you put out in form of communication could cause an unbalanced reaction and assume that what you just spoke is "are fightin' words!" and have everyone canceling plans for the rest of the year. September 8, Jupiter trines Saturn, and if you reorganize goals, so that everyone can benefit - everyone wins! - which means everyone is happy and another hurdle is left behind. Also on this day, transformative Pluto finally turns direct after being retrograde since April 2, 2008 and he demands that we all get back to "the real world" and take care of personal and professional matters. Pluto is now confidant that we have grown on an inner level for the past few months, and that we ready to use what we have learned. Just be crystal clear in your explanations, from asking the right questions, to answering all questions, as Venus squares Jupiter on September 9, and someone could feel like they got the short end of the straw. Listen for the quiet growls. September 11, lovely Venus conjuncts busy Mars and we could find ourselves wanting to have our personal needs met, but this time, by making peace - not war. Good time to double check motives right now. But on September 12, the Sun is in opposition with rebellious Uranus, and while this could be a time for creative problem solving, instead we may start to feel that we are being pushed into a corner, and instantly find ourselves pushing back. Then by September 14, Mercury conjuncts Venus and we find ourselves not struggling with our decisions and outcome, but feeling much more comfortable, and in the mood for doing some shopping.

The Full Moon in dreamy Pisces on September 15, allows us to become more understanding and compassionate to others needs, and is a good to day for communicating all that is affecting you. Then as generous Venus trines magical Neptune on September 17, we start to feel like our dreams are manifesting (even if it is in our own thoughts) it just feels good to enjoy the moment and feel happy. And as Mercury joins in on the Venus/Neptune party on September 19, we may start to think that maybe dreams actually DO come true. But on September 20, as the Sun squares meanie Pluto, we find ourselves struggling with what we can't have, "as we want it all" now, and find ourselves rudely awakened with reality, and no treats. September 21, Mars trines Neptune, and we could still be hung up on the last few days of fluffy thoughts, and decide that we could put more effort into what we want. As the Sun enters Libra on the Fall Equinox which is September 22, Venus sextiles Pluto, and we may be willing to put ourselves on the line (or lowering our standards) to get what we want.

On September 23, Venus gently closes the door on easygoing Libra, and tiptoes over to enter the secretive world of Scorpio. We may find ourselves getting back to our life inventory that we forgot all about, and decide to close the door(s) on others temporarily, to calm some unsettled emotions and personal struggles that have not been comfortable to deal with lately. Deep thoughts could help us make a decision on what to keep in our lives that could help us to flourish into something stronger, and what we may need to weed out. Could be a shutdown of emotions, and it would be smart NOT to interfere with Pluto when he's thinking, or else, you could be next on the garbage list. The choices made during this time will be about removing the clutter, are most likely be a permanent choice - so use this time wisely before erasing people, situations, and so on. It is important to re-work your ideas and plans before making any major moves for the next few weeks, as Mercury goes retrograde on September 24 until October 15. This transition is tricky, as it will fumble with your thinking process, as well as with all forms of technology and communication (computers, voicemails, agreements, etc, seem to go haywire). Consider a temporary delay for any important moves during this period, and use this time to make sure you have considered all possible options. Everything will be much clearer after Mercury gets his head on straight and returns to his normal direction.

Last, the New Moon In Libra occurs on September 29, and new seeds will be planted in finding fresh inspirations that make life more refreshing, from experimenting with a different groups of friends, remodeling your home, getting a makeover, to improving our own comfort as we learn to enjoy our own company. Enjoy your month!

Tarot Insight
September's One Card Message - comes from The Queen of Cups suggests that we take time out for ourselves this month, and to appreciate and enjoy the small things in life that we could have overlooked. But doing this, we get back in touch with our softer sides, and stir our creativity and imagination. By balancing this with the practical side of our brain, we enable a balance, which is needed in order to make fair and rational decisions. Allow yourself some special time for just yourself, to become aware of everything around you, and to listen to your own inner voice. It is important to trust that you already know what changes that you need to make in your life - to find comfort and peace. This same comfort and peace will be there to afterwards, when you struggle to make sense as to what has changed. What has changed, is you. Like the Queen of Cups, you become in complete control of you emotions and needs, as you understand that a change must take place, and what you release to find it. This release can include other individuals, or attitudes, emotional baggage, or a situation that simply isn't working for you anymore. The transformation must be compassionate and gentle (for you and for other parties involved) or else you disturb what inner balance that you have found. As the sea of love washes away sadness and pain, the tide returns, with fresh sentiments and new intuition to guide you on your new journey into the unknown.

Free Monthly Horoscope - August Zodiac Birthday, Leo the Lion!

Happy August!
Hope you are all staying cool during these hot weeks. I have enjoy spending my time out on the deck, checking out the mountainous view, and seeing all the various shades of greens, as the trees and greenery seem to be completely peaked right now with growth. Completely gorgeous. Other than spending free time outdoors in the backyard or out in the pool, or the back yard - I've been staying inside when it's too hot, just flirting with the central air, lol. After living in Florida (caliente!) for a few years, I personally prefer the cooler weather in the Northeast, and favor the Autumn and Winter months (I am a December baby!), and love the changes of the seasons.

One of my favorite activities (if weather permits) is camping outdoors to watch the meteors. The annual Perseid meteor shower peaks around the nights of Aug. 11 and 12, and this particular display can produce as many as 50 to 100 fast, bright meteors per hour. Can you say lawn chairs, blankets, and bonfire? Oh yeah baby...

My schedule has been recently updated, as I'm not available for telephone readings during the weekends now, but I am still available Monday thru Friday from 12pm noon until 7pm. We are busy getting the booth ready for Pittsburgh Renaissance Faire. (m'lady hasth received a lovely makeover this year!) So if you happen to be in the local area, stop by to say hello, as I will be at the "So Sayeth the Soothsayer" booth. I will be available for live readings agan, and if you happen to purchase a reading with me (mention that you found me from my website or blog) and you will receive an additional 5 free minutes! The Faire is a royal blast, and it starts August 23 and lasts until September 28, 2008.

Last, I thought I might share my thoughts on some prayer beads that I had recently purchased. Prayer beads can be used how ever you choose to use them, for a religious practice, spiritual enrichment, or wearing them for positive energy and strength. I personally like them for meditation. I came across the Goddess Rosaries by Lunaea Weatherstone a few years back, and recently returned back to her website (there was definitely a calling!) to find the perfect art and design for me. I got the beautiful set of prayer beads to enhance my own personal practice, and I was thrilled! They arrived in a beautifully designed cloth handbag, the pink necklace and art is gorgeous, and perfect for my purpose. The design that I chose felt magical and personalized - like they were designed just for me! She has much more information about the beads, as well as many creative pieces to choose from, available on her website shop at
www.lunaea.com
Thank you Lunaea! I absolutely love them!

We can reap wonderful benefits while the Sun, Mercury, and Venus stimulate our courage and confidence in Leo this month. It's a wonderful time to redeem yourself, to invite romance back into your life, to get noticed for a raise or promotion, and to just have a sunshiny day with family and the kids! The month starts us out with the New Moon in popular Leo, helping us to plant the seeds of our dreams, which is also encouraged with a Solar Leo Eclipse the very same day! This energy is like handfuls of candy and other goodies being tossed freely into the crowd. Will you just sit back and let someone else have all the fun? or will you actually get up off your behind and take advantage of all that is available to you?

Especially when gracious Venus shares her candy with Pluto on August 5, showing you how far a little kindness can take you. Awesome energy for love and work. Then she slides into serious Virgo on August 6, allowing us to take careful steps towards our goals, to replenish our own resources again. Busy Mars squares Uranus later in the day, as Mercury opposes Neptune... which could make you feel like it's you, against the world. The Moon in Libra could help you take a practical approach on any challenges for this day. Saturn is still in Virgo, and now that lovely Venus has joined the classroom, he's gonna ask some tough questions like: "big deal? what's love got to do with it?"

On August 10, Mercury joins Virgo, to help you figure out some questions that you have had on your mind for the months. Communication and thoughts will be clear, which can help you solve issues with some new personal decisions. But even though Venus conjuncts Saturn on August 13, and you are feeling comfortable with the reality of things - you may start experiencing your own insecurities and fears when the Sun quincunx Uranus, with a Capricorn Moon on August 14... where making a change (physically or mentally) may not be as easy as you imagined it to be. If you are on a health kick at this time, or breaking some habits or addictions - your willpower will be truly tested. The changes that you are making should be for improvements for your personal self and no one else, and you may need to seriously look at your own daily habits as Mercury conjuncts Saturn on August 15. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius could help you find the answers that you need, if you simply listen to your inner self, and see the signs around you. New awareness and inspirations arise during this time. Later, Venus trines jolly Jupiter, to help you find smart solutions, and possibly, you could get more out of this that you could have imagined.

As pushy Mars squares intense Pluto while the Moon stands strong in Aquarius, you could be faced with your own inner demons when challenged. You may want to try remembering your dreams around this time, for inner direction. Mars then schmoozes his way into Libra on August 19, and his energy could be just what you needed, to make fair rational decisions at this time. Libra tames some of the Mars rough edges, and creates more charm and drive. You may even feel quite generous during this time, and share your positive energy and candy with others on August 21 when the Leo Sun trines Pluto and an Aries Moon. You may feel like things are finally falling into place, and back in control.

Sun enters Virgo on August 22, and while this can be a properous time to take charge and keep things in order for yourself, August 23 quirky Uranus squares Mercury and Venus - and could have you questioning your self and your needs. Should these personal doubts arise (and they are more likely to strike a cord with Saturn the Taskmaster in Virgo), then take the time to question your desires and motives, by making the "pro and cons" list, on paper. This list, written by you, will show you where you are strong, and where you are weak. Saturn is here to toughen you up a bit, to make you a responsible individual when it comes to yourself, your work, and your relationships.

Mercury leaves analytical Virgo enters inspirational Libra on August 28, which will aid in leaving your doubts behind, as you pick up gear and tread lightly to reach an understanding with yourself as well as with others. Communicating with relationships and co-workers can be beneficial to both parties - with a light approach and the right questions, to get answers to what you've been struggling to learn, but with the Venus Pluto square on August 29, this can suggest that just because you are getting the answers... that it doesn't mean that you necessarily have to like the answers that you are receiving. Then by Virgo's New Moon on August 30, you may find yourself planting new seeds to regain your own self-respect, and determined to succeed in your own endeavors. You may even decide on a time-out for family and relationships... but with little Miss Venus coming home later in sweet Libra, you may decide to keep all of your inquisitive thoughts and nervous energy to yourself, and just go along with the flow of things... for now.

Tarot Insight
This month's tarot message shares 'what we all need to know' about this month, and insight comes from the Fool. Don't be afraid of taking chances - or daring yourself to reach further than where you have been. Effort is action, and a move means change, meaning growth and moving forward (if plans have been well thought out). How do you know how the outcome will be - unless you quit analyzing it, and simply just go out and do it. Be different now. Chase the dream. Who cares what everyone else thinks? Just do it already. Make phone calls, initiate communication, be the first to break the ice. Wonderful energy rises from the Fool... from new opportunities, new attitudes, new people, new job, etc. New changes are bound to excite the imagination, triggering a new inspiration to travel a new road. This is all about making some new choices for YOU and no one else. Open your mind, and you open a window (or two) of opportunity.

Happy Birthday!

It's Just a Joke
The inventor of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Arthur Davidson, died and went to heaven. At the gates, St. Peter told Arthur, "Since you've been such a good man and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is, you can hang out with anyone you want in Heaven." God recognized Arthur and commented, "Okay, so you were the one who invented the Harley Davidson motorcycle?" Arthur said, "Yep, that's me." God said, "Well, what's the big deal in inventing something that's pretty unstable, makes tons of noise and pollution and can't run without a road?"
Arthur was apparently embarrassed, but finally he said, "Excuse me, but aren't You the inventor of woman?" God said, "Yes." "Well," said Arthur, "professional to professional, you have some major design flaws in your invention:
1. There's too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusions;
2. It chatters constantly at high speeds;
3. Most of the rear ends are too soft and wobble too much;
4. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust;
5. And the maintenance costs are enormous!"
"Hmmmmm, you have some good points there," replied God, "hold on." God went to His Celestial super computer, typed in a few words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it.
"Well, it may be true that my invention is flawed," God said to Arthur,
"But according to these numbers, more men are riding my invention than yours."

Enjoy your summer!

July Horoscope - Happy Birthday Cancer the Crab!

Happy July all!
- It's Fourth of July, and yesssss... I STILL love fireworks! I am still a big kid about it, and I write this same line every year, lol - so I will spare you my obnoxious and childish behavior! But I will also add that since September 11, I truly am more aware and appreciative of what our country represents, and very grateful for the people who protect it to this very day. Independence day is more meaningful to me. And of course, I will be celebrating the Fourth of July with family and friends in the evening, but I will be accepting calls during the earlier part of the day.

- If you would like to meet me, I will be doing live entertainment again this year at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, at the "So Sayeth the SootherSayer" booth, as an Astrologer and Card Reader, as well as an Advisor to the Kings! This engagement will keep me busy for a few weekends. AND unavailable for any Saturday readings from August 23 until September 28. When the festival is over in October, I will become available once again on Saturdays.

- My hours have been extended, as I am organizing my home life and professional life better (Thanks to Saturn in Virgo) - and you can now reach me Monday through Saturday from 11am until 7pm, on eastern standard time. As other mothers out there will understand, there is an additional pressure of being a working mom and trying to take care of yourself, and your family too. I am re-adjusting my life, as I am weaning myself away from the domestic life, and getting a little more time for me, as my adorable Leo son is growing up into a fine, young man - who is busy with driving, working, his girlfriend, and making his life into life. He also has a birthday at the end of this month, and sending many blessings his way! Happy birthday Love! (We have a loving Cancer Sun and a sensitive Cancer moon right now, so excuse me while I get a little mushy over my boy, lol.)

Words to Consider from Cancer the Crab, and other sensitive souls..

"It isn't that 'I don't know'.... it's just that you wouldn't understand if I told you."

"My biggest weakness is my sensitivity. I am too sensitive a person. " Mike Tyson

“I understand with love comes pain, but why did I have to love so much?”

“There is a special bond between twin soul mates--unconditional love, respect for each other, bringing out the best in each other, and highly compatible.”

“God, When I was alone, and had nothing, I asked for a friend to help me bear the pain. No one came, except God. When I needed a breath to rise, from my sleep, No one could help me.. except God. When all I saw was sadness, and I needed answers, No one heard me, except God. So when I'm asked.. who I give my unconditional love to? I look for no other name, except God.” ~Tupac Shakur

Astrological Happenings...

We start this month of July with the Sun in tender Cancer, and New Moon in Cancer on July 2. This is very active energy, and especially for getting things taken care of, and chasing the success that we are looking for, be it personal or professional. Mars moves into serious Virgo on the July 1, and he will tame any excess energy, to create smart behavior, to help us pre-plan and organize our next move toward goals. This require slow, but steady effort. In regards to our relationships, you will find that this double Cancer will energize many sensitivities and vulnerabilities at this time, where words should be carefully chosen, especially when Mercury squares independent Uranus on July 5, and have certain individuals feeling challenged by certain individuals or circumstances. (Remember, Uranus went retrograde last month, and behavior can be quite quirky at this time). Never fear though, as we will have a chance to 'kiss and make-up' on July 6 as Mercury trines dreamy Neptune. On July 10, Mercury moves into protective Cancer, while Mercury opposes transforming Pluto. This can affect certain individuals on either a personal or professional level, to feel an aura of challenges and competition with those surrounding. Be sure to temper any entitled tantrums during this time, and use clear communication to get our point across - otherwise, someone will be jumping to conclusions, and possibly giving someone a reason to withdrawal (This someone could also be you). On July 12, Venus dances her way into dramatic Leo, and we will REALLY want to splurge and do a little more for ourselves. Just watch the cash flow during this time as we'll want to look for ways to make ourselves FEEL good with nice things, rather than resolving issues on a deeper inner level. Thanks to the Full Moon in Capricorn on July 18, you'll be able to distinguish a good buy from the 'not so good' buy. (Like choosing a new appliance versus expensive jewelry.) Mercury opposes Jupiter the very next day, we may not care about being practical, and just doing whatever our little heart desires. On July 22, our Sun moves into happy Leo, and we will be ready to party and 'get back out there' again. Especially as Mercury trines Uranus, giving us a lot more optimism and hope, to figure out a way to heal the world! Make some special wishes during this time, and then write your plan of action down during July 26, and Mercury slides into 'make it happen' Leo, and providing us with the confidence and courage to overcome any obstacle in our way, while Mars trines magical Jupiter later in the day, creating heroic attitudes to tackle any problem that we may be experiencing, and finding a solution that works for everyone involved.

Tarot Insight...
This month's tarot message shares 'what we all need to know' about this month, and insight comes from the Queen of Swords, as we should again use clear (but gentle) words during this highly emotional month - as to leave no room for any miscommunications or misunderstandings. Some of the planets will have some us reacting too quickly, and possibly reaching for space and distance. Use your creativity to spark new ideas and plant seeds for growth, for both in your personal life, and in your professional life.

Happy Birthday Cancer...
Born June 21 - July 22.... Cancer is the sign of the Crab. The Crab is sensitive, protective, and seeks security. Cancer is a feminine water sign as well as cardinal. A Cancer is a very strong person who will make their move in life based on their emotions. Click HERE for more personally-written zodiac details about the gentle and loving Cancer.

July is ruled by the Moon, which represents Mother, memories, refection, nurturing, etc. I thought this was something nice to share.

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, "I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you." The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years. The demands of my work and my two children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally. That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.
"What's wrong, are you well?" she asked. My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.
"I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you," I responded.  "Just the two of us." She thought about it for a moment, and then said, "I would like that very much."

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous.  When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on.  She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary. She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's.  "I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed," she said, as she got into the car.  "They can't wait to hear about our meeting."

We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy.  My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu.  Her eyes could only read large print.  Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me.  A nostalgic smile was on her lips.
"It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small," she said.
"Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor," I responded. During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation, nothing extraordinary but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you." I agreed.

"How was your dinner date?" asked my wife when I got home. "Very nice.  Much more so than I could have imagined," I answered. A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack.  It happened so suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her. Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined. An attached note said: "I paid this bill in advance.  I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife.  You will never know what that night meant for me.  I love you, son."
At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: "I LOVE YOU" and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.
Nothing in life is more important than your family.  Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till "some other time".

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home.. somebody never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her... somebody isn't a mother.

This isn't just about being a mother, it's about appreciating the people in your life while you have them....no matter who they are.

Enjoy your summer.

June Horoscope - Happy Birthday Gemini Twins!

June 2008, Happy Summer Everyone...
I love June. It always brings fond memories of me and my son going out into the field at dusk, carrying an empty jar and lid with holes poked through, for catching oodles of lightning bugs! I love the warmth of the sun at this time, picnics with family and friends, barbecues, fires with marshmallows and hot dogs, and lawn chairs with blankets as we lie underneath the stars watching meteor shows. The summer solstice on the 20th is always a reminder that the hot weather is just about to become hotter, and the pool will be warmer for night swimming. I enjoy Father's day, as I help my Leo son plan surprises and special memories for his dad. My Libra husband (with his loving Pisces Moon) is an awesome father who shares good parenting skills of open communication, gentle truth, love and security. Since kids don't always 'listen', we know that they will usually 'mimic' what they see in their environment - so we believe that by 'practicing what we preach' will help our son to continue to benefit, and learn more from us. Happy Fathers Day to my readers, and Happy Fathers Day to my sweetie...

Words to Consider....
"Children learn to smile from their parents." ~Shinichi Suzuki

"It is a wise father that knows his own child." ~William Shakespeare

"Good parents give their children Roots and Wings. Roots to know where home is, wings to fly away and exercise what's been taught them." ~Jonas Salk

“It is not until you become a parent that judgment slowly turns to compassion and understanding.” ~Erma Bombeck

Astrological Happenings...
©2007-2008 Starcana.com
We all start this busy month with the Sun in Gemini, and New Moon in Gemini on June 3, and the main focus this month is on open communication - with friendships, family, work, and relationships. Wonderful opportunities can be available to express thoughts and emotions right now while Venus smoothes out rough spots on the 6th, and Mercury encourages confidence in yourself on the 7th. Mercury is still retrograde until June 19, so if you aren't completely honest with others or yourself - you could experience a few misunderstandings that could lead to heavier problems on or around the Full Moon, which is in Sagittarius on June 18. Sharp honesty can most likely lead to hurtful words and full blown reactions at this time... especially while Venus, the planet of love opposes Pluto, and enters sensitive Cancer. Use tact, kindness and soft words in your expressions at this time - otherwise sharp words can look like sharp knives and leave others to defending themselves, or hiding from you. Kindness DOES matter at this time. We also have Pluto moving into Sagittarius on the 14th, and you may find yourself becoming more comfortable within yourself, focusing more on your own thoughts, your own plans, and your own independence. Use this time to ground, and focus on healing. The Sun enters Cancer on June 20, and then Mars opposes Neptune on the 21st... and you could experience some harsh reality to a confusing situation around this time. Utilize Mercury Direct on June 19, and communicate with yourself about REALLY what is going on FIRST, as illusions can have some overreacting, without facing some realistic facts first... and this may promote a "time out" for some partnerships around the the last week of June, when Uranus goes retrograde, and the Sun squares the Moon on June 26. The energy can feel crazy at this time, but as along as you take the time to think - before you speak - that will conquer half of the problem.

Tarot Insight...
This month's tarot message shares 'what we all need to know' about this month, and insight comes from the Page of Swords, who arrives reversed and repeats after me... miscommunications, misunderstandings, and miscalculations. Without conquering good communication skills at this time, you can expect to experience continued worries and anxieties. The only way to get any peace, or to fix a problem during this time, is to gently confront it.

Happy Birthday Gemini...
Gemini is a masculine and mutable sign, and this makes them very adaptable and intellectual. They despise stagnation of any kind and thrive for circulation and movement (like their element Air). Mercury is the planet of communication, and it rules this sign. Freedom and space is a must. They are lively, witty, trendy, and let us not forget... charming!! Starcana Resource...
Many ask me what is my favorite Tarot Book reference, and I have one favorite that I keep in my special collection of books, and it is 'Tarot Plain and Simple' by Anthony Louis. Tony works with the Robin Wood tarot cards that I have featured on my website, and he explains the description of the cards, but also the astrological and numerical relation of each card too, which helps to deepen your personal learning of the cards. Always be sure to jot notes of your own feelings when you read the cards. Click the image of his book below to read more about what this great book has to offer, and how to purchase it:

It's Just a Joke...
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, 'You should do it because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee. The husband said, 'You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.' Wife replies, 'No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee.' Husband replies, 'I can't believe that, show me.' So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says 'HEBREWS'.

Enjoy your Summer!
